Nigeria AIDS Indicator and Impact Survey (NAIIS) Logo Design

• The 2018 Nigeria HIV/AIDS Indicator and Impact Survey (NAIIS), led by the Institute of Human Virology (IHV) at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, is a cross-sectional survey that will measure the reach and impact of HIV programs in Nigeria. Though the IHV team had developed initial logo concepts, CDC, the funder of the program, requested additional options for the logo. With the direction to incorporate the Nigerian identity and clearly identify the program as an HIV/AIDS survey, I produced a simple logo using the familiar HIV ribbons as a representation of community members and the colors of the Nigerian flag. Subsequently, the NAIIS team in Nigeria have modified the logo to include the year and have prominently used the logo to brand the program.
